That the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT would enter five Audi R8 LMS in the Sprint Cup and four in the Endurance Cup was announced a couple of weeks ago. Now, the Belgian squad revealed the names of their drivers.

Team Zakspeed is boosting its involvement in GT racing: the experienced motor sports team will be participating in the entire 2017 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup with two Mercedes-AMG GT3.

Global GT racing promoter SRO Motorsports Group has joined forces with SUPER GT Series organiser GTA and Mobilityland to stage the first ever joint GT3/GT300 race. The 10-hour endurance event will take place at the world famous Suzuka Circuit in Japan on 23-26 August 2018.

After a successful Blancpain GT Series season in 2016, Rinaldi Racing will again take part in the series. The team from Mendig, Germany will start with two Ferrari 488 GT3. Highlight will be the Total 24 Hours of Spa , where Rinaldi Racing will try to claim another podium.

In 2017 Italian squad Ombra Racing will make the step to the overall category of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup and Total 24 Hours of Spa, by putting a full Pro line-up at the wheel of their Lamborghini Huracan GT3. Michele Beretta, Andrea Piccini and Stefano Gattuso will be the drivers defending Ombra Racing’s colours.

Kaspersky Motorsport announced that James Calado will race alongside Giancarlo Fisichella and Marco Cioci in the 2017 Blancpain GT Series – including the Total 24 Hours of Spa – as the team steps up to a full Pro line-up, running the new Ferrari 488 GT3 car.

After their well-deserved win in the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, Ferrari will travel to the second round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, the Total 24 Hours of Spa, as the championship leader. Porsche and Bentley are close behind, thanks to their podium finishes in Australia.

The #88 Maranello Motorsport Ferrari of Toni Vilander, Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes took victory in the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, opening round of the 2017 Intercontinental GT Challenge. The Ferrari squad had a one-lap advantage over the #12 Competition Motorsports Porsche, with the #17 M-Sport Bentley completing the podium. The GT4 category saw a Porsche one-two, with the #19 PROSport Performance Cayman beating the #40 Brookspeed Cayman.
