Lucas Auer kept GruppeM Racing's #98 Mercedes-AMG on top of the timesheets in the second and final Free Practice session prior to qualifying for Sunday’s Gulf 12 Hours.

The Austrian, who suffered an accident at the wheel of the car on Friday, reeled off a best lap of 1m51.849s halfway through the 60-minute session to end up quickest.

Auer’s time was 0.087s faster than team-mate Dani Juncadella who is in prime position to win the Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli drivers’ title, potentially along with co-driver Jules Gounon and Raffaele Marciello.

The #66 Team Tressor Audi of Kelvin van der Linde, Dennis Marschall and Mattia Drudi was third quickest, followed by the Al Manar Racing by GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG and pair of factory AF Corse Ferraris.

The top six cars were all IGTC-nominated entries.
