To improve the live TV coverage of the event, the starting time for the Mazda Raceway California 8 Hours, third round of the 2017 Intercontinental GT Challenge, has been advanced to 9.15 AM local time, on Sunday October 15th.
While final preparations for the Mazda Raceway California 8 Hours are in full swing, the decision was taken to advance the start of the longest ever professional race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to 9.15 AM. This will allow the broadcasters to fully cover the event, including the post-race celebrations.
The rest of the timing for the event has not changed: on Friday free practice starts at 11.00 local time, with the hour-long pre-qualifying session starting at 15.30. Qualifying on Saturday starts at 10.45, with the Pole Shootout at 13.40.
The race will be streamed live on the www.intercontinentalgtchallenge.com website, and the series’ Facebook-page.
