Audi rejigs Pro line-ups for Kyalami's IGTC title decider

Audi Sport has altered its factory line-ups for the Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli season finale at the Joburg Kyalami 9 Hour on February 3-5.

Patric Niederhauser, Marcus Winkelhock and Christopher Haase lie two points behind Ferrari’s Drivers’ Championship leaders but were scheduled to be split before the event’s postponement in November.

That remains the case, albeit with Winkelhock swapping places with Haase at Sainteloc where he now partners Niederhauser and Kelvin van der Linde.

Haase instead joins Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor in WRT’s sole Pro entry. The marque's third factory car has been withdrawn as a result of Kyalami’s date change.

Nevertheless, Audi remains overwhelming favourite to clinch the Manufacturers’ Championship thanks to its 36-point lead over Ferrari, which is also fielding two Pro-crewed 488 GT3s. However, Audi has the added advantage of Sainteloc’s Silver entry as well as High Class Racing, which can now be nominated to score IGTC points.
