Ferrari’s latest GT3 contender will make its Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour debut early next year following confirmation of Arise Racing’s two-car assault.
The reigning Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS champions have entered a 296 in each of the Pro and Pro-Am categories.
Ferrari has not contested the 12 Hour since 2020 but does have significant history at the event: the 296 will become its fourth generation of GT3 car to tackle Australia’s International Enduro, which it won in 2014 and ’17.
It was also part of the first GT3-era 12 Hour in 2011.
Arise joins the 2025 entry following a stellar season in its domestic GT series where Liam Talbot and Chaz Mostert claimed the Pro-Am title and Elliot Schutte and Jaxon Evans finished third.
The team’s 12 Hour line-ups will be confirmed at a later date.
“The 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour has been the ultimate goal of the Arise Racing GT programme from the very start, and given Ferrari’s previous 12 Hour success, we feel like we have massive shoes to fill!” said team principal Jordan Oon.
“The car performed brilliantly at the final GTWC Australia round [at Bathurst] which is credit to Ferrari and Oreca for producing such a great package in the 296, and we cannot wait to push it to its limits in one of the most demanding endurance events in the world.
“We’re in the final stages of securing some fantastic driver lineups and are thrilled for the opportunity to compete among the best GT3 teams from both Australia and across the globe. As always, I need to thank Lance East Exotics, and the team – their hard work and dedication have been the reason behind our success, now it’s time to take on Bathurst!”
Based in Perth, Lance East Exotics launched the Arise Racing GT project in 2024, building on a rich legacy of success from fellow Perth-based team Arise Racing, renowned for their achievements in Sports Prototype Racing in the West and the Radical Cup Australia Series nationally.
The 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, which doubles as Intercontinental GT Challenge’s season opener, takes place on January 31 – February 2. Tickets, camping and corporate experiences are on sale now via www.bathurst12hour.com.au.
