DTM champion Güven joins Boccolacci and Ghiretti for Suzuka 1000km

Absolute Racing's second Suzuka 1000km-bound Porsche pairs reigning DTM champion Ayhancan Güven with Dorian Boccolacci and Alessandro Ghiretti.

All three drivers are familiar with the Shanghai-based team having raced for the squad across various events in previous years.

Factory ace Güven competed for Absolute Racing at the 2025 Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour, while former Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Boccolacci also raced with the team in the Sepang 12 Hours back in 2024.

Completing the trio is 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion Ghiretti, who is driving for the outfit in GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS this season alongside Huang Ruohan. The pair currently sit top of the drivers’ standings after taking a victory and two further podiums from the opening three weekends of 2026.

This event marks the fourth stop on the 2026 Intercontinental GT Challenge calendar, with Porsche leading the Manufacturers’ Championship heading into the final two rounds.

The #7 Porsche 911 GT3 R will sport a special livery, with the design to be revealed in due course.

It joins the previously-announced AO by Absolute #8 entry, which sees Laurin Heinrich, Alessio Picariello and Julien Andlauer piloting the special 'Bushi Rex' liveried 911 GT3 R.

“I’m very happy to be joining Absolute Racing for this year’s Suzuka 1000km,” said Güven. “Racing there has always been a dream of mine, so I’m incredibly excited to experience the circuit for the first time. We have a strong car with Porsche, an excellent team, and a competitive driver line-up, so our goal is to fight for the win.”
